I’m as vain as I allow

I don’t indulge in internet blog memes. Except for when I do. Seven quirks, traits, and random facts about me that you never wanted to know.

One. When I was 20 I fell down some steps and broke my back. One vertebrae shattered and later disintegrated, and the two above and below it fused together at an angle. My spine is permanently crooked because of this, and I suffer from pain and random bouts of nerve paralysis in my hands and arms.

Two. I can’t jump rope with both feet off the ground at the same time. I can’t ride a bike either. I always fall off or run into something. Yes, go ahead and laugh. See if I care.

Three. I absolutely hate using the telephone. It’s one of the leftovers of the social anxiety I’ve dealt with since I was five-years-old. Being on the phone makes me anxious and I will almost never call people if I can avoid it, even people I know.

Four. I used to be afraid to drive a car until I was 22. Now I love driving. Who knew.

Five. I have reccuring dreams about being married to John Francis Daley. No, I don’t know why either. (But if you’re reading this John, hit me up bb, we’ll talk all about it ♥.)

Six. I’ve never been in love. I don’t want to be. I’m not capable of it. Maybe there’s a hole somewhere in me, some defective piece or missing cog. Oh well.

Seven. I really do want to be a tambourine girl one day.

Magen loves dinosaurs and black holes. She draws squids and writes stories about pretty boys who kiss each other. When she grows up she wants to play the tambourine in a psychedelic revival band.

  1. I’m to get a cyberpunked Stevie Nicks tambourine, according to Luis. I have no idea how to play such a thing. You’ll have to teach me, oh wise one.

You’d be the most badass Tambourine girl in all of the land. I will hoop to your amazing melodies.
